CAMPUS STAAR PROCEDURES –

  1. Please be on time! School starts at 7:35am! Students who are tardy may not be allowed to participate that day.
  2. Please refrain from pulling your children during the middle of the day. 3rd, 4th, and 5th graders will not be allowed to be checked out for lunch during their testing days. If students have an appointment, please reschedule it for another day.
  3. If you are coming to get your PK, Kinder, 1st or 2nd grade child for an appointment, please allow yourself plenty of time as our communication will be person to person versus calling overhead in order to minimize distractions to rooms testing around them.
  4. We are asking that your child not wear smartwatches/devices or bring their cell phones to school with them on testing days as they can disrupt the testing environment. We understand that some students need them for after school care. Please know that their classroom teacher will collect their phones/watches, label them, and return them after testing is complete.
  5. 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade students will leave their devices on campus starting Friday, April 5th  in order to ensure that Chromebooks are updated, charged, and ready for the assessment. Please make sure your child comes to school with their device and charger on Friday, April 5th.

23-24 Student Chromebook Information

Round Rock ISD’s 1:1 technology program ensures every student who needs a personal technology device is assigned a District-issued Chromebook. Students new to the District can check out a Chromebook from their campus. Having access to a Chromebook device promotes consistency and equitable access to online learning opportunities for all students.

Online support for District-issued Chromebooks is available at the Round Rock ISD Instructional Technology Chromebook website. The website provides how-to troubleshooting tips, device and hotspot lending information, FAQs, and digital citizenship lessons.

Each Round Rock ISD campus is assigned an Instructional Technology Specialist if further support with District-issued devices is required.

Students participating in in-person learning bring their Chromebooks to school with them each day.

Loss or Damage: If the property is damaged, lost or stolen, you are responsible for the reasonable cost of repair or its fair market value on the date of loss. Loss or theft of the property must be reported to the District within five school days after the occurrence. Lost or damaged power adapters and cords must be replaced through Round Rock ISD and the student will be charged according to the Estimated Repair Pricing schedule as listed on the 23-24 Student Parent Chromebook Guide & Use Agreement.

Cash and checks can be accepted in the BCE office.
