Brushy Creek Elementary School On Thursday, January 18th, BCE hosted Cookies & Coding night. Families and the community were invited to explore coding activities which included a variety of unplugged activities, Osmos, Makey Makey, Spheros and Dash & Dot.
Each activity was led by a 3rd, 4th or 5th grade Bibliophile teams. Each team was responsible for helping the attendees with the coding activity. To prepare for this night, each team worked with Mrs. Kent, the librarian, and Mrs. Garcia, the ITS to work at as an expert in leading the activity.
Families enjoyed strolling through the cafeteria to explore the student led activities, while enjoying a variety of cookies. Students of all ages had the opportunity to submit their estimation at a chance to win an estimation jar!
