Brushy Creek Elementary School BCE is making their presence known on social media, specifically, Twitter, Instagram and Facebook. According to Jenny Strong, Principal, “Social media is a way to connect with our community to build relationships and to let our families know what is going on! It also gives our wonderful staff the opportunity to showcase all of the happenings that take place on a daily basis in the classrooms and around the campus!” The staff is encouraged to tweet as much as possible. To encourage the use of social media, teachers launched the 18-19 school year with a Twitter Challenge and creation of team hashtags! The staff worked in teams to visit locations around the Brushy Creek area, while documenting their visits with selfies! In the end, each team created a collage and tweeted it out! #bluejaypride #bluejaystrong
